The following changes take place for SEC Rule 144, so, in case this is now being tested remember: For reporting companies the holding period on restricted securities is now six months ( non-reporting still have the one year holding period) After one year non-affiliates will be permitted to sell their restricted securities without being subject to the volume limitations. ( the old rule was two years) After six-months affiliates of the issuer (control persons) will be permitted to sell their restricted securities subject to the volume limitations of Rule 144 The filing requirement thresholds have been increased to 1000 shares or $50,000 within a three-month period
